BilBasen
In 1989, a Danish man came up with the idea of a magazine dedicated solely to vehicle classifieds. Price-conscious Danes loved the concept, and Bil Markedet became a household name. In 1998, Bil Markedet partnered with dba.—Denmark’s biggest classifieds site—and went online as BilBasen. With innovative software that let dealers upload their ads to the Internet, BilBasen became a huge success, and in 2008 it became part of eBay. Today, we’re Denmark’s number one site for cars, offering everything a vehicle buyer or seller needs—including video ads and a buyers’ forum—in an easy-to-use format.

dba.
Back in the late 1970s, a brilliant idea came to fruition, and a paper devoted to classified ads was published. It was called Den Blå Avis, and Denmark loved it. Fast-forward to 1995, when the Internet was just beginning to take off. Den Blå Avis boldly launched a classifieds site, dba., which soon became the number one classifieds site in Denmark. Joining the eBay family in 2008, dba.’s simple format makes it incredibly easy for users to buy or sell just about anything, search for a new job, locate a great babysitter, or find that perfect flat.
With only 5.5 million inhabitants, Denmark has a more connected population—meaning the work you do here truly connects your friends, neighbors, and local community.
